TrustTalks: EP 03 - The Internet of Value: Exploring Trust and Value in the Digital Age

In this Trust Talks podcast, our program director Abhishek Rathi, interviews Moses Sam Paul of the Community Venture Studio, who shares his background and work in trust-building and high-trust societies. Moses discusses his experience in the tech industry and his shift to public policy and policymaking. He explains how his work addresses three key frictions in the labor market—onboarding friction, verification friction, and validation friction, the latter focusing on the validation of education credentials as indicators of skill sets.

Through his venture, Community Venture Studio, Moses is developing a well-being score to enhance this validation process. He further explains how technology, including blockchain, can reduce these frictions and foster trust. Moses also introduces the concept of the Internet of Value and its connection to the mission of Community Venture Studio, emphasizing the role of communities in building trust and enabling economic activity. The conversation touches on the redefinition of value, the role of labor in market value, and the potential for well-being scores to replace traditional credit scores. Gamified incentives and individual self-improvement are highlighted as key to creating a community-based economy. The conversation concludes with a teaser for the next discussion on well-being and scaling this concept.
